Andrew Buckner, LPC-MHSP

Andrew Buckner, LPC-MHSP

Andy is a native Tennessean who completed his undergrad at the University of Tennessee before moving out west to complete his master's degree in counseling at Colorado Christian University. He has worked in the mental health and human services field consistently since 2008. Andy's previous therapeutic experience includes working with child and adolescent clients in outpatient, residential treatment, and foster care settings. He is also able to effectively work with adults, couples, and families. He uses a variety of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and experiential techniques throughout the course of therapy. Andy sees clients ages 5 and up by appointment only and does require a guardian to be present during appointments with clients younger than 18 years of age.

Angela Fuss

Angela Fuss, Ph.D, LPC-MHSP

Dr. Fuss has been working in the mental health field for the past 15 years. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee in counselor education and has been a licensed therapist since 2011. While she works with all ages, she specializes in working with children and families and is trained in Child Centered Play Therapy, which is effective with children aged 2-12. Though CCPT is her specialty, when working with adolescents and adults she focuses on applying Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic and Gestalt approaches. Dr. Fuss sees clients by appointment only and requires a legal guardian to be present for anyone under the age of 18.

Carol Dunaway, LPC-MHSP

Carol Dunaway, LPC-MHSP

Carol is a Knoxville native and has been working as a mental health counselor since 2002, when she obtained her Master’s degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Carol has extensive experience working with children in foster care and children who have been adopted. She also works with adults and teens. She has had training in both Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and the Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency (ARC) model, both of which are appropriate for children and teens with a history of trauma and related attachment issues.

Linda Catlin, LCSW

Laila Sherrod, LCSW

Laila was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, receiving her bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Tennessee in 2009 and her master's degree in Social Work in 2011. Laila has worked with adolescents in foster care, residential treatment, and in school systems. She has also worked with men and women in our criminal justice system, as well as pregnant and postpartum women working to overcome substance abuse disorders. For the past three years, Laila has worked mostly with women overcoming perinatal mood and anxiety disorders as well as pregnancy loss and fertility treatments. She is a member of Postpartum Support International, an organization that increases awareness about the emotional changes women experience during pregnancy and postpartum. Laila enjoys using meditation and mindfulness in her practice and sees teens and adults by appointment only.

Kendra Dall McShan, LMFT

Kendra Dall McShan, LMFT

Kendra has been in Knoxville for the past 12 years after moving from Indianapolis to attend college. She attended Johnson University, graduating with a bachelors degree in counseling in 2008 and a masters degree in marriage and family therapy/professional counseling in 2010. She has been a licensed therapist since 2012. Kendra has experience working with both children and teenagers in foster care and both teenagers and adults in outpatient and residential settings. Kendra has worked with a variety of mental health issues as well as addiction and relationship problems. She has training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and uses a combination of other cognitive-behavioral techniques, experiential ideas, and some solution focused counseling in therapy. Kendra sees clients ages 7 and up by appointment only.

Stacy Hernandez, LPC-MHSP

Stacy Hernandez, LPC-MHSP

Stacy is a native Texas who completed her undergrad degree at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. Thereafter she completed her Master's degree at Hardin Simons University in Abilene, Texas. After following her husband around in the USAF they decided to relocate to Tennessee. She has worked in the mental health field for the past 13 years and after 9 years, now calls Tennessee her home. Stacy's previous therapuetic experiences include, children, families, residential, family, couples and adult women. She mainly utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CPT) for individuals and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. Stacy sees clients ages 8 and up by appointment only and requires a legal guardian to be present for anyone under the age of 18.
